My passion for beauty was sparked as a young girl, as I often played with my mother’s eyeshadows, lipsticks, and curling irons, creating looks for my friends. It wasn’t until 2004 when I first attended Pivot Point Academy to become a licensed cosmetologist, where I found that I could turn my craft into a career. Today, I am proud to walk through Pivot Point Academy’s halls as a Certified Makeup Educator, where I get to work with makeup artists just beginning their careers. It is a humbling and beautiful experience every time I get to teach. 

 

Over the last 18 years, I have worked in several facets of the beauty industry. From the makeup counters of MAC, Bobbi Brown, NARS, and Shiseido, doing makeup and hair for fitness competitors, to working on set with award-winning photographers on editorial and commercial photo shoots abroad in Germany, and much more. 

 

After my military husband's tour was over in Germany, I returned to my hometown of Chicago, where I discovered my love for working in the wedding industry. I have found such a sense of fulfillment in collaborating with brides on their big day. There is so much joy that comes from planning out a look together to seeing a bride’s face light up when they feel beautiful and radiant.  It is a process and a trust I feel immensely blessed to be a part of.  

 

In addition to bridal beauty, I am also a certified permanent makeup artist. I specialize in microblading, powder brows, lip blush, and tattoo removal. Like natural bridal makeup, my practice for permanent makeup is rooted in natural enhancements — realistic brows and lips that look so natural it’s almost impossible to tell they have been tattooed.

 

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two daughters, and two dogs. You can often find me practicing calligraphy or binge watching stand-up comedy when I’m not in my studio!
